Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is one of the masterpieces of Iranian architecture that was built during the Safavid Empire, standing on the eastern side of Naqsh-i Jahan Square, Esfahan, Iran. Construction of the mosque started in 1603 and was finished in 1619. It was built by the chief architect Mohammadreza Isfahani , during the reign of Shah Abbas I of Persia. The mosque is named after Sheikh Lotfolla, who was the imam of this mosque in the early years of its existence.

Located on the east side of AlUla, Jabal Ithlib is a natural mountain that once served as a place of worship for the Nabateans. Famous for its stunning temples and inscriptions, the mountain’s main attraction is the ‘Diwan’, which is a large room carved into the rocks and is believed to have been the venue for lavish banquets as well as a meeting room dedicated to the leaders of the city. Ali Qapu Palace is an imperial palace in Isfahan, Iran. It is located on the western side of the Meidan Emam, opposite to Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and had been originally designed as a vast portal entrance to the grand palace which stretched from the Meidan Emam to the Chahar Baq Boulevard. The palace served as the official residence of Persian Emperors of the Safavid dynasty. UNESCO inscribed the Palace and the Square as a World Heritage Site due to its cultural and historical importance.
