The Mombacho volcano is located 10 km from the city of Granada, Nicaragua. Visitors are offered 3 routes of different complexity.
The most simple Sendero el Crater is a walk around the crater that does not require much physical exertion.
But the most interesting route is called Sendero el Puma. Its length is 4 km, but the organizers warn that it will take about 4 hours. On the trail you have to make some very long and steep ascents and descents, which requires serious endurance. But all the difficulties are compensated by the views of beautiful places that can only be reached in this way.
